Providing Consumer Directed Services (CDS) @ Home!
Consumer Directed Services (CDS) is a program which provides personal care attendant (PCA) services to individuals with disabilities; which allows them to live independently. Individuals in the CDS program are trained to hire their own attendants to assist them with daily personal care tasks. Program participants are responsible for locating, hiring, setting work schedules and managing their own attendants. A friend or family member may be hired as an attendant, with the exception of a spouse or anyone under the age of 18. The attendant must have a clean background check through the Missouri State Family Care Safety Registry before being employed.

Consumer Training
Manage Personal Care Attendants
HOPe Care Services provides the training and support required for the consumer to manage their own care. Things that we'll help you learn to do include but are not limited to:

Recruit Personal Care Attendants (can be a family member or friend but cannot be a spouse)

Interview and screen applicants

Manage MO HealthNet (Medicaid) requirements

Advocate with the appropriate state agencies to assure your needs are being met

Schedule and supervise your attendant(s)
On the consumer's behalf COMFORT Healthcare at Home will conduct:

Criminal and abuse/neglect background checks on attendant candidates
-
Processing timesheets and payroll for your attendant(s)
COMFORT Healthcare at Home will provide administrative services that include but are not limited to:

Background checks of Personal Care Attendants (PCA)

Payroll and billing processing

Assistance in completing necessary forms

Record keeping as required by the state

Monitor services to ensure compliance in handling federal and state funds
